ICM Registry, who operate the 9-month old .xxx TLD have announced the launch of their search engine specifically designed for porn sites. They hope their site will direct more traffic to xxx websites and give pornography users a more streamlined, private search experience. They also claim that their search engine will help to protect users computers from malware and viruses which are well known to be a downside of the internet pornography industry.
The engine has cataloged more than 21 million webpages from xxx sites and ICM CEO Stuart Lawley said: “It’s porn, only porn, all porn…There’s as much porn there as anyone would need, I’d imagine.”
Lawley claimed that the Search.xxx does daily scans of each website for viruses and malware ensuring their users are safer than any others. They also claim that their engine will help combat the problem caused by Google’s algorithm changes which has seen many porn sites deranked in favor of pages that contain news items about pornography or definitions of sex terms.
He also pointed out the value of having this private search engine for users who want their families finding out about the freaky-deaky side of their nature.
Painting a wonderful scenario of the guy who has looked up Brazilian midget transsexual porn, who is then asked by his wife and son to search Brazil because his wife fancies a vacation there suddenly having a lot of explaining to do when the transsexual midgets page pops up in the search history! No longer will this guy, (no doubt thousands like him exist in the world) have to worry about such an unfortunate series of events outing their closeted sexual deviances – this xxx search engine will change all that!
Lawley said that his company aims to provide a quick and clean (well maybe not that clean) search experience. He said:
“A lot of customers found that they were so overwhelmed by what they were seeing, they just sort of snatched and grabbed any video that was there to get away from this madness…We have no ads, no videos, nothing on the search engine itself, so people can take a sort of calm and steady look at deciding what it is they want to select.”
ICM say they are planning to introduce a micropayments system at the beginning of next year as part of their bid to combat porn piracy. The micropayments will enable customers to pay small amounts for porn from a number of different sites.
