Xbox Music Price Leak: Unlikely To Lure Users From Spotify

The leaked pricing plan for Microsoft Xbox’s Music Service suggests that they might have some trouble luring users away from Spotify once the service is actually launched.

For one month of the Xbox Music service in the U.S it looks as though users will be charged $9.99. For the same amount of money, you could get Premium membership to Spotify which offers much more for your money. But at least Xbox Music will offer a longer 30-day free trial.

It does appear that Microsoft have failed to learn their lesson after the whole Zune vs iPod disaster and it does make you wonder if there is anyone in the organization in charge of making sure their service is priced competitively against other similar services on the market, so they might at least have some chance of succeeding.

What do you think? Would you go for the Xbox service or would it be Spotify all the way? Leave a comment and let us know what you think.
