When Pauline Potter split up with her husband Alex in 2008 after failing to bond with his son, she became depressed and started pilling on the pounds. She was already a big lady, but after splitting from Alex she decided she was going to try and get into the Guinness book of records for being the world’s heaviest women. Part of this desire to make it into the record books was that it would then shame her into losing some of her substantial body mass!
Last year she achieved her goal, becoming the world’s heaviest woman at the staggering weight of 643 pounds (292 kilos). Her ex-husband noticed the media attention that Potter had picked up during her campaign to become the world’s heaviest woman – consuming an astonishing 10,000 calories a day and made contact with her.
Their flame has since been reignited and Potter is using their marathon sex sessions to try and lose weight! So far she has lost 98 pounds and plans to keep going!
Potter spoke to the UK’s Closer magazine explaining how having sex several times a day was helping her to drop the weight. She said: “I can’t move much in bed, but I burn 500 calories a session –- it’s great exercise just jiggling around.”
According to the interview, the couple have sex as many as 7 times a day and enjoy foreplay and massages. She said, “my bed is strengthened and, although I can’t buy sexy lingerie, I drape a nice sheet over me.”
Alex weighs just 140 and allegedly does most of the work in the bedroom, because Potter’s obesity makes her fairly immobile.
Though Potter might be the largest woman using sex to lose weight, it is something that many people try when they want to shed the pounds.
Sex educator and relationship expert, Dr Yvonne Kristen Fulbright told the Huffington Post:
“Shagging can make you slimmer, if you do enough of it…It can also help the two of you fall for each other all over again. Requiring no monthly fee — dress code optional – you can ‘sexercise’ yourself into shape. This is one gym membership you’ll never want to drop.”
