San Francisco based computer scientist and kinetic artist Brent Thorne’s latest project is a wooden computer that computes continuous self-similar fractals.
Thorne’s creation will eventually stand over two meters tall and able to preform calculations, logic operations, and store/load values. He estimates a build time of about 160 hours. You can read more about this on his Fractal Clockwork blog.
