Wearing Skinny Jeans Can Get Your Testicles In A Twist!

Bad news for skinny jeans wearing hipsters, a whole host of experts have claimed that they are actually really bad for you!

Earlier in the year, we burst the girls fashion bubble with the claims from Baltimore’s Dr Karen Boyle who said that skinny jeans were responsible for causing a lot of pain and often permanent nerve damage in many of her patients. She said that they caused a disorder called Miralsha Parasthetica which occurs when the outer part of the thigh gets compressed.

Now though a number of doctors are stating that skinny jeans aren’t that great for guys either and can cause a whole host of nasty side-effects in the crotch area!

One of the doctors who is outspoken about the dangers of the skinny jeans is popular television doctor Hilary Jones. He said that wearing the tight fitting denim can cause twisted testicles (just ouch), bladder weakness (who wants to leak?), low sperm count (you might want babies one day), urinary tract infections (grim) and even those nasty fungal infections that no one in their right mind would ever want (no comment)!

Dr Hilary Jones is working on a project with TENA (who specialize in incontinence wear) to highlight the dangers of skinny jeans to the general public. A recent study undertaken by TENA revealed that a staggering 1 in 10 men have had some sort of unwanted side-effect as a result of their penchant for skinny jeans. Of those who had experienced this kind of problem, half suffered from groin discomfort, a quarter had bladder troubles and 1 in 5 had a horribly painful twisted testicle!

Jones elaborated on the many unpleasant side effects of wearing skinny jeans and the advised: “I have seen several cases of men who have twisted their testicles due to wearing jeans that are far too tight…My advice would be to make sure you leave plenty of room around the groin area and that your pants and trousers feel comfortable so you’re not being restricted in any way.”
Then he added, “Please don’t put style before health.” The human race would never dream of doing that, would they??

According to the docs though, you don’t have to totally ditch all your skinny jeans, you just have to make sure that they aren’t too tight, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing right? No one likes muffin-top on guys or girls!

In their article about the exposé on the many terrible dangers of skinny jeans, Hypervocal took a moment to defend the much maligned fashion essential, they said: “Let’s all just relax, like the suggested fit of our jeans, and take a moment to consider all the good things tight trousers have done for our society. They’ve helped musicians like Freddy Mercury reach new octaves; they’ve decreased crime by leaving criminals no option when you choosing to conceal a weapon; and they’ve helped countless men to display the heat they’re already packing.” Well said guys!!

Skinny jeans are not necessarily tight jeans. You can be wearing flares and have them tight enough to contrict your blood flow. there’s a difference.
