VIDEO: Watch A Dolphin Calf Being Born

Everyone loves those cuddly cetaceans the dolphins! They are, without a shadow of a doubt, mans favorite sea-dwelling mammal.

You’ve seen them on wildlife documentaries, at the marine park, or spotted them cavorting in the water whilst on a cruise, sure some of us have even had the pleasure of swimming with the highly intelligent aquatic mammals.

But have you ever seen one giving birth? Ok so you might have seen one giving birth in the aforementioned wildlife documentaries, but I never have and I’m sure there’s a few of you out there who haven’t either.

Now thanks to this video from the kind peeps at Dolphin Quest, you can watch the miracle of life happen in Dolphin-land! Watch as the 12-year-old dolphin Keo gives birth to her first child in the Dolphin Quest Lagoon.

Keo looks a lot more relaxed than us humans do when we are popping out sprogs and check out how sprightly the little dolphin calf is when he/she pops out, absolutely amazing!
