This Guy Can Play the Mario Theme on the Piano–While Sitting Backwards!

Some people are just talented. Others are just plain awesome. But this guy right here–well, he’s a mix of both. His name is Jason Lyle Black and he plays a mean piano–even while he isn’t facing it. You might have already heard of him or seen him doing his thing on The Ellen DeGeneres show, where he was featured back in 2010.

Jason’s called the Backwards Piano Man, but now he’s also known as the ‘dude who played the Mario theme backwards’, because that’s exactly what he does in the video that we’ve got for you after the jump.

Jason sure knows his piano keys. At one point, he even lies down on the floor while he plays and he doesn’t even skip a beat. Playing the piano backwards is already awesome enough. But playing the Mario theme? Now that’s pure awesomeness right there.
