Take a peek at these insanely cute pencil shaving caricatures created by artist Marta Altes. They are a new series of pictures and in each one an adorable little character is adorned with pencil shavings – they give the butterfly wings, the lion a mane, the surfer some waves and the ballerina a tutu!
I wonder if she got the idea for the series by mistake? I just imagined her sitting there, casually sharpening her drawing pencils and waiting for inspiration and then suddenly a little bit of the shaving falls onto a doodle and brings a character to life – and that there is her eureka moment! Maybe that’s how it happened, maybe not, but we know one thing for sure, she didn’t do these in Photoshop!!
