Simon Cowell, of American Idol infamy, announced that after his 3-year contract with the megahit is over, he is going to leave the show for good.
Um, GOOD.
While I have historically had a love for the show, its contestants, and its soap operaesque drama, I think Simon is right. All good things must come to an end at some point.
Plus, I think it’s about time he settled down and made an honest woman out of Ryan Seacrest.
So Long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehn, Adieu

I, for one, think Simon Cowell is good for American Idol. The other two judges, without Simon, tend to fawn over the contestants instead of giving them a dose of reality. Sometimes criticism is needed and can help the contestant down the road. Simon may be overly brutal at times but what he says is always the truth.
