Hahahahahahahahahaha… HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
OK, I need to catch my breath, because the funniest thing to happen in showbiz since Sigfried and Roy admitting they were gay, as if it were news, occurred today. Barry Manilow, Queen of Soft Rock, backed out of an appearance on The View because he refused to be on the same stage as Elizabeth Hasselbeck. He is quoted as saying:
I strongly disagree with her views. I think she’s dangerous and offensive. I will not be on the same stage as her.
Immediately following his statement, Manilow turned on point, clicked his chunky heels together, threw his scarf behind his neck, and huffed away from the microphone in a dazzling display of bitchiness and glitter. I mean, seriously, he’s throwing down with an intellectual giant like Elizabeth Hasselbeck? That’s a bit like taking on that guy who played in Ernest Goes to Camp. It’s just too easy. What’s next…a political debate with Britney Spears?
Although Hasselbeck has yet to be reached for comment, I’m going to assume it will end with “…because that’s what George Bush told me to think.”

‘ I’m going to assume it will end with “…because that’s what George Bush told me to think.”’
Hilarious! That seems to be -exactly- how she thinks!

Props to Manilow though. Hasslebeck may not be some political giant, but a lot of people think like her and listen to what she has to say. At least Manilow will bring more attention to the fact that she’s a complete right wing moron. If every guest took that kind of stand, maybe Barbara Walters will find a replacement for Hasslebeck, and then I might actually be able to watch that show
Leave Elizabeth Hasselback alone! She’s a person with feelings! She was hired to be the conservative one. If she changes her stance she will be fired! LEAVE ELIZABETH ALONE!!!!! - Chris
What a schmuck! Life is about getting along with others even if they share different views. How does he even survive in this world? I guarantee that if he did come on the show that Elisabeth would have been the nicest to him out of all the hosts. She always treats guests like royalty. Sure, they may not agree politically but I doubt the conversation would have gone past the topic of promoting his new album. Grow up Barry!
Oh so, I am supposed to just fall in line with your liberal BS? Grow up. Some has been lib refuses to talk with a common sense conservative and suddenly she’s the bad guy? You have a warped sense of reality… besides this is a show about opinions and if little Miss Barry Hasbeen throws a temper tantrum and refuses to come on the show if someone with different “View”s than him is there… he should pack it in.
