A few days ago I wrote an article for Buzz Patrol about the Kony 2012 video that had been taking the world by storm; shared on Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites, the video notched up millions of YouTube views within a couple of days of going live.

It was made by the charity Invisible Children, and aimed to use social awareness and activism to help bring an end to the reign of terror caused by Ugandan Warlord Joseph Kony and the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), who were notorious for kidnapping young children and forcing the boys to become soldiers and the girls to become sex slaves and wives to the soldiers.
