When the much-loved Manchester rockers, the Stone Roses announced a reunion tour, the response from their fans was close to ecstasy. The 220,000 tickets sold out in just over an hour, making them amongst the fastest selling rock concert tickets in history.

Now one fan has decided to capitalize on the furor surrounding their comeback tour and is selling “bottled atmosphere” from the first gig at Heaton Park on June 29th on eBay. The sample was allegedly collected at around 10pm, between the songs This is The One and She Bangs the Drums. However the buyer is warned that when they open the jar (which looks like a urine sample container), they might not actually be able to hear the band. Oh really? Continue Reading

Stone Roses photo release Stone Roses Face Photographers Boycott Over Artistic Rights Dispute

Revered Manchester rockers, the Stone Roses are facing a photographer’s boycott over a dispute about who owns the rights of any professional photos snapped of the band on their sold out reunion tour!

The band offered a contract to photographers stating that they, the Stone Roses would offer the photographer a payment of £1/$1.50 for exclusive rights to the image and they would be able to reproduce this image without any further reference or payment to said photographer. The photographer would also have to supply the band with all digital copies of the image upon request.
Currently, under British law, the photographer owns the rights to his/her image and usually when they agree to sell those on, it is for a hell of a lot more than a £1!!! Continue Reading
