What would you do if you found your kids porn collection? This is a question that more and more parents are having to face each day as the youth of today become more computer literate with each passing moment and we all know that the internet is hotbed for pornographic content.
One father discovered that his 13-year-old son had been surfing numerous porn sites when the boy asked him to take a look at the computer because it had been infected with scamware and wasn’t working properly.
Whilst trying to get to the source of the problem, the father discovered a rake of porn sites in ‘Internet Explorer’s search history. Google Chrome was the main browser, so the boy had been smart enough to use that counter measure, but not smart enough to hide it completely!
The problems that the computer was experiencing were in fact because the boy had been visiting the kind of porn site that is notorious for infecting devices with viruses, scamware and malware and he wanted to make sure that his son learnt the difference between what sites were safe to visit and which ones weren’t.
The boy’s father being quite modern and liberal, decided to write his son a letter in a word document and leave it on his computer for him to find. But unsure if he was taking the right course of action, he posted the letter to Reddit anonymously to see what the readers thought of his parenting approach. Continue Reading
