Miniature Melbourne – A Tilt-Shift, Time-Lapse Short By Nathan Kaso

Australian photographer Nathan Kaso created this brilliant and visually astounding tilt-shift time-lapse short film, entitled Miniature Melbourne that makes Australia’s second most populated city look like a tiny model replica!

Kaso spent 10 months gathering the footage for this breathtaking video and much of it was shot from the Eureka Skydeck atop Melbourne’s tallest building.

I visited Melbourne a few years ago and thought it was an absolutely amazing place, I think Kaso’s video captures it in all its glory and it is fascinating to see this bustling metropolis through the tilt-shift time-lapse! It really does make it look like a tiny model filled with miniscule little people, buildings and vehicles! Continue Reading

Photographer Travels Through Time Via Historic Iconic Images!

Flora Borsi Photographer Travels Through Time Via Historic Iconic Images!
If the technology was available there probably isn’t a single person in the world who would refuse the chance to travel back to through time. Whether we’d go back and change things in our own lives or just for the opportunity to be there at some of history’s most iconic and memorable moments. I’d probably try and wing it back to make it to a Nirvana gig, as I never got to see my idol Kurt Cobain perform before he died and there are million other places I’d go and things I’d want to see. If I did manage to do a Doc Brown and Marty McFly, you could be damn sure that I’d have my camera with me!

Inspired by a Charlie Chaplin movie, Hungarian photographer Flora Borsi has taken herself back in time. Borsi has photoshopped herself into numerous iconic images, always awestruck, with a trusty camera in her hand attempted to snap a pic of these important moments. Continue Reading

The camera was discovered 6 years later and more than 5,000 miles from where it was lost, in Taiwan by a China Airlines employee! Luckily the camera was in a waterproof case and all the photographs on the memory card were salvaged. Continue Reading

art15 Murad Osmann Takes Us Around the World By Giving Us a Hand
Russian photographer Murad Osmann recently traveled around the world, and he documented his journey in a particularly special way. In his new series entitled Follow Me To, he photographed his girlfriend leading him by the hand through each place that they traveled.

The photographs were taken via instagram, and each location is clearly recognizable through its distinguishable surroundings. We never see his girlfriend’s face, simply her back and how she wears whatever outfit is best suited for the location they’re at in each snapshot. The photos turned out quite lovely, and it’s quite an innovative way to view the world.

Murad Osmann took thirty pictures all together, which can be viewed over at imgur.Continue Reading

The Homemade Bomb Art Of Petros Efstathiadis

Petros Efstathiadis The Homemade Bomb Art Of Petros Efstathiadis
Petros Efstathiadis’ is a Greek photographer whose latest collection of works is entitled “Bombs” and is intended to be a commentary on the dire economic situation in Greece and the helplessness felt by many of the country’s citizens.

It has been a turbulent time for Greece of late, last year, as politicians discussed austerity measures with EU officials, the public raged over cuts and the crisis resulting in ugly scenes of rioting and unrest. Suddenly university students were being labeled as terrorists as many were seen in grainy YouTube videos hurling Molotov cocktails and the like at police. The violent scenes were unlike any that had been seen in Europe for a very long time and they represented the turmoil the country was embroiled in. Continue Reading

The calendar was created to appeal to other gamers and fans of vintage technology.
