It is regularly reported that Mexico has something of a problem with corrupt politicians and so as part of a protest against these people who come into office and fail to deliver on any of their promises to the electorate, take bribes and are generally just out for personal gain, two students in Mexico decided that it was time for a change.

To make a point about the rife corruption and politicians’ failure to deliver their promises to the public, the students have nominated a black-and-white cat named Morris to run for mayor in the city of Xalapa! Mexican Gymnast Performs Olympic Floor Routine To Medley of Zelda Songs

Mexican gymnast Elsa Garcia Rodriguez Blancas did her Olympic qualification routine for the floor exercise to an arrangement of music from The Legend of Zelda. The music was arranged by violinist Lindsay Sterling.

New Theory on Mexico’s Recent String of Earthquakes Following Today’s Latest 6.3 Quake

Another strong earthquake rocked Mexico today, with the 6.3 magnitude quake being felt once more in the country’s capital, Mexico City, exactly 13 days after a larger, 7.4 magnitude quake was felt on March 20th. The epicenters of both today’s and the earthquake of nearly two weeks ago were very close to each other, near the border of the states of Oaxaca and Guerrero.

Although the quake of March 20th sent phone lines down for several hours causing panic and general chaos across one of the world’s largest cities, and hundreds of buildings were damaged throughout Guerrero and Oaxaca, locals were surprised by the lack of severity of the impact, which only two people were reported as having died from.Continue Reading
