Lance Ford Mashups: Monsters University Meets Revenge Of The Nerds

Mashup supremo Lance Ford, who brought us brilliant movie world collisions between The Hobbit & The Goonies, Fight Club & Wreck-It Ralph and Jack The Giant Slayer & The Princess Bride, has done it again, this time bringing together Monsters University and 80s classic Revenge of the Nerds in a marvelous movie merger mashup!

Ford, who is eagerly awaiting the summer release of Disney Pixar’s Monsters Inc prequel, said he couldn’t help but notice the similarities between the movie and one of his favorites from the 80s, Revenge of the Nerds. He said, “They’re both buddy movies with a cast of misfit characters, Greek Week games, college parties… oh, and the talents of John Goodman!” Continue Reading

Another Awesome Lance Ford Mashup: Fight Club Meets Wreck-It-Ralph!

Movie fanatic Lance Ford, who brought us the fandom Goonies/The Hobbit mashup has created another fantastic film merger with this Wreck-It-Ralph meets Fight Club movie trailer.

Ford stated that he immediately noticed certain similarities between the recently released Wreck-It-Ralph and the iconic 1999 movie Fight Club.

Ford said;

“Other than the obvious connection of the main characters internal struggle, both have great group therapy scenes, the demolition of some big buildings, and an off-kilter scene involving cops.”

I haven’t seen Wreck-It-Ralph, but it seems as though it is a little like a Fight Club for the younger generation and this lighthearted mashup gives us an insight into what the cult classic might have been like if it was targeted for a more innocent audience. The Wreck-It-Ralph narration takes all the dark, moody, dystopian elements from the Fight Club footage and creates a totally new, if somewhat obscure vibe! Continue Reading

Lance Ford is the man behind this awesome fandom mashup which sees the much-loved worlds of The Goonies & The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey collide!

Ford said that The Goonies was one of his favorite movies as a child and Peter Jackson’s LOTRs movies are some of his favorites as an adult and so he felt inspired to create this geektastic merger to represent his two different fandoms and honor the release of The Hobbit!!

He took footage from The Goonies and placed audio from The Hobbit trailer to compliment it. After the initial few seconds where you feel as though you have two different YouTube videos running at the same time, the two movie worlds collide effortlessly to give you this geektastic homage piece!
