For those of you who aren’t aware, September 19th is ‘Talk Like A Pirate’ day and this year is the 10th anniversary of the oddball event where people are encouraged to talk using pirate-isms like “ahoy mate” and “ohhh arrrrrrgh me hearties.’ Not limited to just speech, on international ‘Talk Like A Pirate Day’ it is also encouraged that you dress up like those morally-challenged sea-faring folk.

This year, Krispy Kreme has joined in the celebrations and is promising to give away free doughnuts to anyone who talks like a pirate or wears an eye-patch. It gets even better for all you doughnut-lovers out there, all you need to do to get yourself a whole dozen free glazed sweet-treats is dress up in full pirate fancy dress – we are guessing this means, eye-patch, hoop earrings, dodgy bandana, a parrot for your shoulder and an unwashed, unkempt hairstyle.
