Author of the infamous Harry Potter series, JK Rowling has had to apply for planning permission from the City of Edinburgh Council for the elaborate adventure treehouse she is having built for her children.

Usually treehouses are viewed as temporary structures and do not require planning permission but Rowling’s structure is a little bit different to your average treehouse. With Hogwarts style towers, the two-storey structure is 40ft high and is expected to cost around £150,000. Continue Reading

Renowned British comic book author Alan Moore looks set to ruffle some magical feathers with his latest comic “The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Century 2009” which features an Antichrist figure who bears an uncanny resemblance to the much-loved Harry Potter. Moore is one of the world’s most respected and revered comic writers, many of his books have been adapted into Hollywood blockbusters including The Watchmen, V for Vendetta and From Hell.
