Author of the infamous Harry Potter series, JK Rowling has had to apply for planning permission from the City of Edinburgh Council for the elaborate adventure treehouse she is having built for her children.
Usually treehouses are viewed as temporary structures and do not require planning permission but Rowling’s structure is a little bit different to your average treehouse. With Hogwarts style towers, the two-storey structure is 40ft high and is expected to cost around £150,000. Continue Reading
This is a video of somebody playing “Hedwig’s Theme” using only wine glasses filled with water. The song is taken from the “Harry Potter” soundtrack written by composer John Williams. Now I’m not sure where they got 30 wine glasses from, but that’s not really the point, is it?

Renowned British comic book author Alan Moore looks set to ruffle some magical feathers with his latest comic “The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Century 2009” which features an Antichrist figure who bears an uncanny resemblance to the much-loved Harry Potter. Moore is one of the world’s most respected and revered comic writers, many of his books have been adapted into Hollywood blockbusters including The Watchmen, V for Vendetta and From Hell.

The supercutters at The Cussing Channel present all eight Harry Potter movies edited down to 17 minutes video compilation of almost all the spells being cast.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Harry Potter as much as the next geek, but 17 minutes of faux-Latin shouting action is way way too long for me to sit and watch. I lasted 5 minutes before moving on.

Is this picture from ‘Hogwarts – The Early Years?’
The reason this old school photograph has been bouncing all over the internet is because, at first glance what looks like your bog standard average yearly school photograph, actually appears to contain real-life lookalikes of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley! To make it even more epic, is the fact that the trio are all together in the picture, with Ron and Hermione next to one another and Harry in his trademark black-rimmed spectacles positioned between them in the row just below.
If you stare hard enough you can even see Lord Voldemort lurking in the background…Ok so I might be kidding about that, but I bet I made you look!
Comments made by people who had seen the Yahoo News article about the picture claim that the picture is actually from Thomas Mills High School and that the Ron Weasley lookalike is none other than superstar singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. That would be ironic considering that the actor who plays Weasley – Rupert Grint, actually pretends to be Sheeran in the video for his hit single Lego House!!
