Stewie The World’s Longest Domestic Cat At 48.5 Inches Has Died

Stewie, the world’s longest domestic cat who measured 48.5 inches (more than 4 feet) has died at the age of 8 after succumbing to a year-long battle against cancer.

Hundreds of fans flocked to his Facebook page and left their messages of condolences and relived their memories of him.
The Maine Coon cat was not only popular because of his impressive size, but he was also a certified therapy animal. Stewie frequently visited a Reno senior center and helped to promote animal welfare awareness with the Nevada Humane Society.
Owner Robin Hendrickson said he was at home, surrounded by his family when he lost his battle against Lymphosarcoma, which is a malignant disease of lymphoid tissues. Continue Reading
