Check out these awesome pictures from the Shrek-themed wedding of Heidi Coxshall, 30 and Paul Bellas, 42, who said they were inspired to have the fairytale wedding by their 4-year-old son, Leo’s love of the Shrek movies! Leo attended the wedding dressed as Donkey, who was voiced by funny man Eddie Murphy in the classic film.

Heidi created the costumes herself and the bright green make-up took over an hour. Paul donned green ogre ears, furry eyebrows and green gloves to make the transformation into the loveable if uncouth creature! Continue Reading

Don’t worry, this headline is not a spoiler from the latest DC blockbuster to come out of the Hollywood machine, but rather about the events that unfolded at Dragoncon 2012 in Atlanta.

Ruby, dressed as Batman decided to propose to his girlfriend of 11 years and the woman he claims is his one true love, Jennifer (Batgirl) at the convention, but being a shy-guy, he wanted a little help. 

Cue actor Dean Cain – of New Adventures of Superman 1990s fame, who came to Ruby’s aid and handed him the ring to place on Ruby’s finger.

We assume that Christian Bale was busy that day and anyway, from what we’ve heard, Dean Cain is a much nicer guy.

Ruby went down on one knee in front of hundreds of onlookers at the DC Comics Photo Shoot to make his proposal, so it was rather lucky that Jennifer said yes, otherwise that could have been a little embarrassing. Continue Reading

In a wonderfully heartwarming and tradition-busting tale of geek romance, one Redditor proposed to her boyfriend Dylan in an incredibly unique and inventive way: via a Scott Pilgrim-themed scavenger hunt!

Thankfully, she didn’t have to battle to the death against all her fellas exes, but she did send him traipsing around the city of Toronto following clues marked in envelopes that contained pages of the novel.

When she decided she wanted to make the proposal, she first had to find out if her boyfriend Dylan was susceptible to the idea, after all – who would want to go to all that effort and then got shot out of the sky? After a little discussion, our leading lady got the response she was looking for, when Dylan told her he thought it would be “awesome” if she proposed.
