While Game of Thrones is on hiatus until its third season begins next spring, we now have a new line of Funko toys to look forward to during our wait.

Funko is releasing a new line of Vinyl Pop figures of six different Game of Thrones characters. In this series we’ll see Tyrion Lannister, Eddard “Ned” Stark, Daenerys Targaryen, Khal Drogo, Sandor “The Hound” Clegane, and the creepy White Walker from the end of season two.

These new toys are all incredibly cute, as Funko is prone to do with their figurines, but they do raise some questions. Why did they choose to make Drogo and The Hound? Not that they’re not important to the story, but it would make more sense for Funko to sell figurines of more prominent Thrones characters in their first series of toys for the show. A Bran or a Cersei, perhaps. I find it particularly surprising that Jon Snow was left out (as usual). The White Walker seems a strange choice as well, seeing as it only had thirty seconds of screen time, but it is so utterly adorable that I can’t complain because I really want one.Continue Reading
