Doctor-Who-Matt-Smith
Whilst there are many Whovians who had believed they would find out which actor would be taking on the role of the infamous Time Lord in the very near future, the BBC has dashed those hopes by recently stating that the new Doctor would not be announced until August or September!

They have said that actor chosen to play the coveted character’s twelfth incarnation would not be announced until just prior to the filming of the Christmas special, likely to take place in the autumn! Continue Reading

Pint Sized Doctor Who Fan Talks of Matt Smith’s Exit

Lindalee Rose is undoubtedly the most adorable Whovian you’re likely to come across on the Internet. She’s been doing reviews of Doctor Who episodes for going on nine months now for the Beyond the Marquee Show Youtube channel, recapping what she’s thought of the seventh season. Not only that, but this lucky four year old girl got the opportunity to meet both Freema Agyeman (Martha Jones) and Sylvester McCoy (Seventh Doctor).

In her newest installment, she talks about the recent news of Matt Smith leaving Doctor Who after this December’s Christmas special. She talks about how she’s sad that he’s leaving, and how Smith was “the most amazing Doctor ever” and all her favorite things about him as the Doctor. And who is Lindalee gunning for as the new Doctor? Tom Baker. While it’s doubtful that we’re going to get a reprisal from an actor who’s already played the Doctor, the sentiment is sweet nonetheless.

Picture: Denise Bradley
Normally sci-fi conventions are quite peaceful affairs with people from numerous different fandoms happily co-existing with one another.

However that is not always the case and sometimes shit can get serious between rival fans! At a sci-fi convention in Norwich, UK, police had to intervene after a brawl was about to break out between Star Wars fans and Doctor Who fans from rival clubs!

More than a dozen fans, including many in cosplay, had to be separated after police were called to the scene and someone reported seeing an assault. Continue Reading

Turn Your Fridge Into A Tardis With These Awesome Decals & Details

tardis-fridge
Remember the outrageously awesome Tardis fridge created by artistic couple Joy Alyssa Day and BE Johnson, well now they are offering you the opportunity to turn your fridge into a police box/Tardis too for the very reasonable price of $185.

According to the designers, the skin works best with a French Door refrigerator because they best match the Police Box. It can also be used with a single door or without a separate freezer, but it just won’t open in the same way. Continue Reading

Awesome Tardis Bunk Bed That Features Doctor Who Quotes!

doctor-who-bunk-bed
Check out this brilliant fanmade Doctor Who bed, which is not only brilliant because it’s made to look like a Tardis, but also because it features a quote from the 11th Doctor (played by Matt Smith) proclaiming the inherent coolness of bunk beds (if that was ever in any doubt)!!

D’awww I would have loved one of these when I was a kid, but my party-pooping parents wouldn’t let me get a bunk bed when I was a youngling, in case I fell out of it….Their high hopes for me were painfully obvious, even from such a tender age!

Doctor Who fans who are just desperate for legendary Tolkien franchise director Peter Jackson to be given a chance to sit at the helm and direct his own Doctor Who episode can take yet more hope from the latest developments to emerge.

It turns out that Peter Jackson is so eager to direct an episode of the iconic series that he has said that he is willing to do it for free!!! The Jackson/Doctor Who rumor began late last year. Back in September of 2012 Doctor Who star Matt Smith told an NZ newspaper that he’d love to film an episode of the series in New Zealand and it would be great if Peter Jackson would direct. The Doctor Who Family Cosplay

Doctor-Who-cosplay-family
Check out this brilliant picture of a cosplaying Doctor Who family, I’ve always been a fan of group cosplay – I think it’s great when a number of people get together and turn up as pretty much the entire cast of characters from their favorite series, game, comic etc. You can clearly see that Doctor Who dad, Tardis mom and their mini-dalek daughters really put a lot of effort into their wonderful outfits.

They were spotted at Katsucon and the convention’s Tumblr states: “As I asked to take this photo, Dad says “OK girls, point your plungers” and they promptly looked at me and said the keyword to my heart … EX-TER-MI-NATE!”

Daaaaaw, these brightly colored Dalek girls are certainly the cutest, least menacing Dalek’s that I’ve ever come across, I still wouldn’t mess with those plungers though!
