An awesome 360-degree panorama of Mars created using pictures taken by NASA’s rover, Curiosity has appeared on the website 360cities.net which specializes in panoramic photographs. 
By clicking a dragging you can take a closer look at the rugged Mars terrain or get up close and personal with the Curiosity.

You can zoom right into the super-sophisticated rover and see all of its amazing scientific apparatus.

The panorama shows the familiar tan-colored skyline and a range of mountains on the horizon.

The brilliant panoramic was put together by Andrew Bodrov, a 360cities.net user, using photographs that were taken by Curiosity on her second day on Mars.

 Curiosity Finds The Sun

This photograph is the first one taken by the navigation camera on NASA’s Mars rover the Curiosity. In it you can clearly see the shadow of the Curiosity’s mast in the middle, and the shadow cast by the arm to the left.

The Curiosity’s navigation camera is used to locate the sun, the Curiosity needs this information in order to communicate with the team on earth. After the camera pointed at the sun, it then turned in the opposite direction and captured this image. The way the shadows fall in the picture, confirm the sun’s location. Continue Reading

 NASA’s Curiosity Landing On Mars Is A Complete Success

On Monday elated scientists from NASA reported to the world that their Mars rover, the Curiosity landed on the planet successfully and all 10 of the scientific instruments aboard it were in ‘perfect health.’

Some of the rover team analysts are looking at data from the Curiosity’s landing, whereas others are engaged in preparing the rover to explore Gale Crater.
