Giant Panda Gives Birth To Twins In China

A giant panda named Haizi gave birth to twins on Saturday in a wildlife center in the China’s Sichuan province. They are the first pair of giant panda cubs to be born this year.

Haizi gave birth to the two adorable little cubs 10 minutes apart at the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda which is a part of the Wolong Nature Reserve.

Staff at the center have said that one of the cubs is a female and weighs 79.2grams. The mother panda has yet to release the other cub from her embrace, so they have been unable to provide details of sex or weight as yet. Continue Reading

Adorable Baby Raccoon Recruited By Shanghai Police After Being Mistaken For Bear Cub

Check out this adorably cute baby raccoon dog that was rescued by Shanghai police officer Li Wenyue after a startled resident spotted it in the garden and called the authorities. Believing the little critter to be a bear cub, the authorities took the cub to the station and found it a temporary shoebox home!

Realizing how darn cute the little guy was Officer Wenyue also found him a mini police jumper and posted some pictures of him online which proved to be incredibly popular. It certainly makes a change from mug shots of wanted criminals!! Continue Reading

Tourists Cause Outrage – Posing For Photos With Stricken Dolphin Rather Than Helping It!

A group of tourists have been condemned on China’s microblogging platform Sina Weibo after it was claimed that rather than help an injured dolphin that ended up dying, they instead posed for photographs with the stricken mammal.

The Shanghai Daily reported that the dolphin became stranded on the beach, in the province of Hainan after it was said to have been struck by a boat. The tourists gathered round the injured creature to pose for happy snaps with it, but failed to help the dolphin.

Chinese Farmer Arrested After Falsely Claiming He Had An Electrocuted Alien In Freezer!

A Chinese farmer who claimed to have accidently electrocuted an alien with a rabbit trap and stored the extra terrestrial in his freezer has been exposed as a fraudster and arrested for his attempts to mislead people!

The man, referred to as Mr. Li by the Chinese media, initially posted about his freezer alien on an blogsite, he said: “I was setting an electric trap for rabbits by the Yellow river when I saw a bright light…Above my bike, a UFO was floating. One by one, five aliens came down, but one of them stumbled into one of my rabbit traps and was electrocuted. The others went back into their ship and flew away.”

Chinese Farmer Creates Bionic Arms After Finding Hospital Ones Useless!

Chinese Farmer Sun Jifa, 53, from the northern Jilin province, lost both his arms in a freak accident nearly a decade ago. A fishing explosive went off prematurely in his home meaning that he had to live the rest of his life as a double amputee.

Sun was unable to afford top-of-the-range, expensive prosthetics and was forced to buy a low-grade pair which he claims were useless. With them, he was unable to work or carry out routine activities that most of us take for granted each day. But instead of bemoaning his tragedy, Sun set about trying to build his own bionic arms and now has a pair that enable him to carry out farm work, help around the house and care for his wife and daughters. Mom Of Baby Rescued From Toilet Pipe Says He Slipped “Accidentally”

The mother of the infant rescued from a toilet pipe in China, dubbed Baby 59 after his incubator number, has said that the child slipped and fell into the pipe accidentally while she was giving birth and claims to have raised the alarm, but without admitting she was the child’s mother at the time!

The child’s mother, who has not yet been named, told police that she unexpectedly gave birth whilst on the toilet and the baby slipped and fell into the sewer in the apartment in Jinhua city. It has been reported that she fell pregnant after a one-night stand and that the child’s father abandoned her after. Chinese Netizens Express Outrage After Teenage Tourist Defaces Ancient Egyptian Temple!

China’s netizens have taken to social media platforms to express their disgust and outrage over the actions of a teenage tourist who vandalized a 3,500-year-old Egyptian temple whilst holidaying in the country with his parents.

The 15-year-old boy carved “Ding Jinhao was here” in Chinese on a stone sculpture at the ancient Luxor Temple in Egypt and though the boy’s parents have apologized profusely, the anger and indignation caused by his actions are not showing any signs of dying down.

The act was brought to light by another Chinese tourist, who photographed the graffiti and shared it on Chinese microblogging site Weibo on the 24th May. Continue Reading

Firefighters Rescue Newborn Baby From Toilet Pipe In China

Firefighters in the wealthy coastal province of Zhejiang made a dramatic rescue this week cutting a newborn baby boy from a sewage pipe directly beneath a toilet in a residential building in Jinhua.

They were called to the building after residents reported hearing an infant’s cries and discovered a two-day-old baby trapped in the pipe with his placenta and umbilical cord still attached.

Police are treating the case as an attempted homicide and are searching for the infant’s parents. The story has made national news and sparked outrage on social media sites, with people absolutely abhorred that someone could callously dump a newborn baby into a toilet pipe. Continue Reading
