Ronald Poppo, 66, who many of you will remember as the man who had the majority of his face eaten off in a brutal, barbaric attack that took place on the MacArthur Causeway, on May 26th last year, has recorded a message of thanks to all those who wished him well after his horrific ordeal.

Poppo was set upon savagely by Rudy Eugene, who was shot dead at the scene because he refused the police’s numerous attempts to get him to stop attacking his victim. Eugene was later dubbed the Miami Zombie or the Causeway Cannibal, in a story so violent, bizarre and disturbing that it made international news and was in the headlines for several weeks.
