
Four linen bras discovered by archeologist Beatrix Nutz in the Lemberg Castle, in Austria have rewritten the history of underwear, once it was confirmed that they were approximately 600 years old. The University of Innsbruck recently confirmed the authenticity of the find.
The find has baffled fashion experts who for a long time have believed that bras have only been around for the last 100 years or so, once women abandoned the corset as everyday wear.
Now, based on the discovery of these items, it appears that the bra actually came before the corset. Continue Reading
