Search Engine Giant Seeks “Explorers” For Google Glass Project

Google-Glass1
Google has launched a competition that is asking people to submit ideas about what they would do if they had Google Glass – they want to know what you would get up to if you had a pair of the augmented reality glasses at your disposal!

Applications must include the hashtag #ifihadglass and they have to be 50 words or less. Up to 5 photographs and a short video (maximum 15 seconds) can also be submitted with the applications.

Applicants must be 18-years or older and live in the U.S. to apply – in a slightly bigger catch however, any potential Glass Explorers must be willing to pay $1,500 plus tax to preorder a Glass Explorer Edition. So if you don’t have the spare cash floating around, then it’s advisable not to enter the competition! For people who do have the funds though, it is a unique opportunity to be one of the first ones to get your hands on this impressive piece of technology.

Chosen Explorers will also have to attend a special collection experience event in person, these will be taking place in New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles.

Applicants are informed that they must follow the competition on Google+ (+ProjectGlass) or Twitter (@projectglass) so that they can be contacted directly and informed if their entry was successful. The deadline for applications is the 27th February 2013.
