We all love a good Halloween gag or prank and often chose the shroud of the night to carry out our best practical jokes on our unsuspecting loved ones because it’s just easier that way I guess.
With the darkness as your cloak, the shadows as your dagger – you can easily spring up from behind the couch wearing a Jason mask and get your great aunty to spill her tea all over her doily and kick the dog!
Frightening someone in broad daylight is considerably harder however, which is why I have to give much kudos to The Ice Breaker magician Rich Ferguson. Not only does this guy have some seriously scary flexibility in his torso (I wonder if he’s had a rib removed like The Artist Formerly Known As Prince was rumored to?) but he’s got brilliant terror timing too!
Watch as he lurks in the background, choosing just the right moment to perform the Head Drop trick, causing passersby in the Bubblegum Alley in San Luis Obispo to literally jump out of their skins. So some of them see the funny side rather than break out in a cold sweat or reach for the nearest baseball bat to beat this unholy demonic creature to death, but it is still brilliant.
After all the first rule of a good Halloween prank is to scare someone, the second is to make people laugh and the third is to not get killed in the process!
