Police in the Flatiron District of NYC won’t be winning any popularity contests this week after they dispersed a huge queue of people waiting to receive a free Trojan vibrator from their Pleasure Cart.
Trojan had promised to give away 10,000 of the buzzing buddies, but cops shut the whole thing down when they found out that the cart didn’t have a permit to be stationed in the district.
Of course, it wasn’t long before the disgruntled people who had hoped to get their hands (among other things) on a free Trojan vibrator took to Twitter to bemoan the action and generally discuss the giveaway!
One Twitter user @Alfred_Julius said: “should’ve seen the diversity of race, class, sexuality and gender that were all in line for the vibrator give away. ALL adults enjoy good sex.” Ahh, isn’t that nice, free sex toys bringing society together!
Whereas others showed their displeasure at the fact that the police had ruined their fun!
Some people were really pissed about it, @Lucky13Queen tweeted: “So much for that, the cops shut the cart down, don’t know how many ppl got their vibrators before nazi #nycpolice stomped on our excitement.”
Sometimes bureaucracy really is a pain in the ass!
