RaveNectar Kickstarter Funded For T-Shirt That Is An Experience Not Clothing!

The RaveNectar Kickstarter project for bold, bright, vibrant t-shirts designed by independent artists has reached and exceeded its funding target of $42,000 but there is still a little bit of time left if you want to get your hands on one of these unique and original t-shirts.

The RaveNectar project which carries the tagline “This isn’t clothing – it’s an EXPERIENCE” was started by Jordan Lejuwaan. He got the idea to create this distinctive line of clothing after searching high and low for something gregarious to wear to the 2012 Ultra Music Festival. Alex Thompson, 45, an entrepreneur from Venice Beach, California, has been using Twitter and a police scanner to keep local residents informed about crimes that take place in the area.

She was inspired to create the account about 2 years ago, after noticing that someone had dumped 50 gallons of raw sewage into the street near her home in Venice. UK mobile operators Vodafone has been forced to surrender one of their cell towers in the British city of Southampton after a peregrine falcon (duck hawk) thought it would be an optimum site for a nest! The falcon has a protected status and cannot be disturbed, anyone caught interfering with a nest could face big fines and even a short prison sentence!

According to reports, some Vodafone customers in the area have been left without signal, because the company was unable to fix a problem with the tower without disturbing the female falcon. A company spokesperson said that the transmitter was deactivated on the 9th April after it was discovered that the bird had chosen to build a nest on the mast. The cell tower has a radius of one-mile affecting customers who are not able to connect to neighboring transmitters, but Vodafone said that they were looking at ways to restore service for those whose who have been affected by the problem.
