There are at least nine hundred million people registered with Facebook right now, so it’s not normally a big deal when the site’s creator Mark Zuckerberg meets one of the hundreds of millions of people who use his site.
Unless of course it’s the world’s oldest Facebook user.
Zuckerberg recently met Florence Detlor, who at 101 years old is the oldest person to be (currently) registered on his site, not to mention she currently has 1,477 friends on Facebook. Detlor also happens to live close to the Facebook headquarters, which recently got her a tour of the building and a chance to meet the minds behind the web-site. “Honored to meet Florence Detlor, who at 101 years old is the oldest registered Facebook user. Thank you for visiting us Florence!” posted Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook Chief Operating Officer, on her own page this Monday.
