New Surveillance Footage Of Miami ‘Zombie Attack’ Released

A new surveillance video that shows the Rudy Eugene, who is now being called the ‘Causeway Cannibal’, brutally attacking homeless man Ronald Poppo on Miami’s MacAurthur Causeway has been released.

The new footage, which comes from a camera on top of a Miami Herald parking garage, shows that the gruesome attack , where Eugene removed the majority of Poppo’s face with his teeth, goes on for 18 minutes as the traffic drives by totally unaware of the horrific events that are unfolding.

The video is uncensored, but is partially obscured and helps piece together exactly what happened during that ill-fated day.

The video seems to suggest that the two men randomly bumped into one another and then you can see Eugene violently striking Poppo, 65, ripping off his pants and then viciously chewing at his face for an insane amount of time.

Some cyclists eventually spot the attack and called the police, Rudy Eugene is eventually shot by Miami Police officer Jose Rivera. Rivera had to shoot him several times to get him to stop attacking Poppo because after the first attack, he merely looked at the cop and continued.

One cyclist, Larry Vega, was quoted in the New York Daily News saying, “the guy, he was like a zombie, blood dripping, it was intense.” Before Eugene was shot by Rivera, Vega himself yelled at him to stop attacking Poppo, but it is alleged that he looked up at him with pieces of flesh hanging out of his mouth, growled and continued to attack his defenseless victim.
