‘My Gimpy Life’: Comic Web Series Showing Hollywood From The Perspective Of A Disabled Actress

My Gimpy Life’ is a new web series that shows Hollywood from a different perspective, it follows disabled actress Teal Sherer as she tries to navigate the town “where dreams come true” in her wheelchair and is a comic take on her trials and tribulations.

The series was written by Gabe Uhr, directed by Sean Becker and guest stars Gary Anthony Williams, Felicia Day, Patricia Tallman, and Brent Bradshaw. Each episode is just over 7 minutes long and you soon find yourself connecting with Teal and wanting to follow her adventures.

I watched a couple of episodes and then I remembered that I was supposed to be working… I really liked the way in which her agent Charles was portrayed in the first episode, reminded me a little of Joey Tribbiani’s agent Estelle in Friends!

The first season of ‘My Gimpy Life’ is available to watch online and if you want to know what it’s like behind the scenes of the show then you can have a listen to the podcast that is also available.
