Brits rule at Grammy 2009 nominations
It’s a good year for British music, with the Brits leading the way at the 2009 Grammy awards. Coldplay have got a magnificient seven nominations including, best rock album, best rock song, and pop and rock performance.
Newcomers Adele and Duffy also have a string of nominations each, Adele gaining four and Duffy three. Both will battle it out with The Jonas Brothers for Best New Act.
X Factor Leona Lewis is also nominated for three gongs including best vocal for her debut album Spirit.
Other nominees include Estelle, M.I.A, Paul McCartney, Hot Chip, Judas Priest and Robert Plant.
