Justice League Casting: Form of a Bad Decision!
I admit it. From time to time (and especially if the words ‘Buffy,’ ‘vampire,’ or ’slayer’ are used), I can be a bit of a fanboy. So naturally, when I heard they were making The Justice League into a feature film, even if it does mean another delay in the making of Wonder Woman, I was more than a little excited.
And then I see this:
The main scope of the article was to bash the supposed choice of Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal as the Wonder Twins, a stroke of genius casting decision if you ask me. I mean, they’re both adorable, both amazing actors, both tiny, and both very approximate in their boyish good looks. (I’m sorry, but I personally think Maggie is HOT….have you SEEN The Secretary?)

But Ben Stiller? As Batman?
No. No, no, no, no, no.
Surely to God this is a joke, because Stiller has to be the WORST pick ever for the Dark Knight. I’m not usually one to get my panties all in a wad over casting decisions, but having Woody Allen Jr. play the role of the comic world’s most dark and brooding superhero is like having freakin’ Osama Bin Laden play the role of Abraham Lincoln in a Civil Way biopic. It’s just wrong.
So, let’s hope, for the sake of the movie and the sake of my sanity that this is just a rumor…just a rumor…just a rumor…
Thoughts? Opinions? Ideas for a clean, fast suicide if this is true?

Ugh, why even include the Wonder Twins? They completely suck. Did anyone even want to be them when playing superheros as a kid? They were the superheros that the others kept around to boost their own ego. . .you know “Well, I can only talk to fish but at least that is better than turning into a bucket of water”.
Ben Stiller… As Batman? Didn’t he already play a super hero in “Mystery Men”?
Thinking of him playing the Dark Knight makes me furious.
Ben Stiller? I guess Janeane Garafalo was unavailable.
Wish we could bring a new Whedon-verse back to tv

“I admit it. From time to time (and especially if the words ‘Buffy,’ ‘vampire,’ or ’slayer’ are used), I can be a bit of a fanboy.”
That report has got to be false.
Hell, I still remember when Superman Returns was in the casting process and people were throwing around such names as Justin Timberlake and Ashton Kutcher to play Kal-El. Talk about cringe? And then when Wonder Woman was originally on a roll and Lindsey Lohan popped up. Due… seriously?
Don’t get your panties in a twist until the true cast list is released.
And personally, the idea of Zan and Jayna making it to the big screen definitely warms my fanboy cockles. I would definitely have to agree with Mr. Postmaster about the Gyllenhaal possibility. I could definitely see that working.
Guess we’ll have to wait and see, eh?
I have to agree about Maggie Gyllenhaal being hot. I keep seeing people bashing her for her looks, but I have no idea what they are talking about.
I like Ben Stiller more-or-less, but I would have to say he has to be one of the worst choices for a batman…wtf.
