It has been reported that Girls Aloud are looking to recruit a sixth member through a TV talent show!!

According to the Sunday Mirror the girls will audition thousands of hopefuls as part of an ‘X Factor-style’ series to be screened next year.

All five Girls Aloud members will form the judging panel and pick a girl to join them on stage for a live show.

A source says: “The girls have never forgotten that reality TV gave them their break. Now they want to give someone else the chance to enjoy a taste of the success they have enjoyed. The winner will get to perform with the group on stage during a one-off concert, but the girls hope they’ll be able to discover a hidden talent who could join the band as a fully paid-up member. The girls have a huge amount of commitments outside the band. It makes sense to look for someone who can stand in if one of them can’t make a show.”

Hmmm….6th members eh?

We think it’s a gradual replacement for one of the girls…cough*Ashley Cole*cough
