The geniuses at Regency and 20th Century Fox are at it again, with the latest buzz on the Dallas movie indicating that it will be a <gulp> comedy.

Dallas

Director Betty Thomas (The Brady Bunch Movie) and writer Pam Brady (Hot Rod) have been attached to the film, and sin amongst sins, John “Xenu” Travolta is still being asked to play J.R. Ewing. Variety reports:

“There is…hope that a comedy about the dysfunctional Ewings will appeal to a younger audience, which has become a Regency priority.”

Why stop there, Regency?  Why not just put Travolta in drag and have him play Sue Ellen as well?  I’m pretty sure Dane Cook is available if Bobby hasn’t been cast yet.  Is nothing sacred to you people?

I swear to God if they touch Dynasty or Knots Landing, I’m buying a gun.

Who Shot J.R…..With a Water Gun?
