Last week we reported that a warrant was issued for Pete Doherty arrest when he failed to show up in court for smashing a paparazzi’s camera on August 22, 2007.

Pete lashed out at Cath Mead, 22, after she followed him around Somerset before he returned to a clinic for drug treatment.

On Thursday morning he was ordered to pay Mead £928 nearly $2k USD for smashing her camera.

Doherty admitted criminal damage when he appeared before Yeovil JPs today, but the court did accept there was a “degree of provocation” in the incident.

Once the case was over, Doherty told reporters outside the court, “Yeah, it was okay today, it should have been sorted out ages ago to be honest. It’s been hanging over me for a long time.”

Well, at least he behaved civil this time.
