Jay Watson created what looks to be an ordinary black table… or is it? This product is designed to remember the impression of certain things that touches it. Watson applied a thermochromatic finish to the woodwork, so that when pressure from warm objects are placed on the table’s surface it leaves an impression. The heat’s impression remains until the table returns to room temperature. The Linger a Little Longer table is hand carved from European oak by Watson himself.

The table is currently available to be purchased over on his web-site. You can buy it as a single bench (£450), a low table (£720), a dining table (£1,350), or a dining table with two benches (£1,850). The tables are made in the UK, so if you don’t live there prepare to pay an arm and a leg for shipping.
