This week we’ve covered quite a few stories about people who have unusual appearances and the things that they go through to get them: you’ve met ‘Anime Girl’ & ‘Barbie’ – now meet the real life Ken, 32-year-old Justin Jedlica from New York City.
Jedlica has spent around $100,000 on plastic surgery – that has seen him undergo 90 different cosmetic procedures in a quest to get that ‘perfect’ look and he says he isn’t finished yet!!
These days plastic surgery is fairly common, it’s not unusual to know someone who has had a nose job or a breast implant; however there will always be those out there who take things to some serious extremes and Jedlica definitely classifies as one of those.
Jedlica was an overachiever and a grade A student, his obsession with cosmetic surgery began with his nose, which he always felt was far too big. After having 5 different procedures on his nose, he now feels that it is ‘almost’ perfect, but is still considering further surgery.

After dealing with his nose, Jedlica turned his attention to his glutes (or buttocks if you prefer). He said he wanted them perkier, tighter and harder and so he had a number of implants over 13 cosmetic sessions to get the buttcheeks he had always dreamed of.
Then he got pectoral implants but this caused him a bit of a problem because people would often ask him why he had a great chest but no arm muscles. This led him on a quest to find plastic surgeons that would carry out triceps and biceps implants and had a 6-pick implant to boot! It is almost as if he is made entirely of silicone and one wonders how much of Jedlica is actually real.
When asked by the interviewer on ABC’s 20/20 why he didn’t work out to get the muscular look he replied with “that is so not exciting, not glamorous or fabulous.” He admits to be addicted to plastic surgery claiming that he loves to “metamorphosize” himself. He also added that “the stranger the surgery the better” because “bucking the norm is so much fun.”
So it doesn’t look like he’ll be giving up on the surgery any time soon despite the fact that experts have warned that having this much surgery can be detrimental to his health.
Dr. Drew Ordin, a Beverly Hills plastic and reconstructive surgeon believes that Jedlica is actually putting his life at risk and claims to be seeing a rising trend in the numbers of people going for more radical types of plastic surgery.
So what do you think? Is Justin Jedlica (aka the real life Ken) fabulous or a freak?
