You’ve got to admire the audacity of the 20-year-old Guinean illegal immigrant who tried to sneak inside the Spanish border using a cunning disguise and pretending to be the car seat of a Renault 7!
People smugglers assisted with the operation, removing the foam from the passenger seat before the illegal immigrant got inside and masqueraded as the chair.
Two Moroccans then drove the car and tried to cross into Spain’s north African enclave Melilla. One was driving, the other was sat on top of the Guinean illegal immigrant. I’m betting that was a comfortable journey!
Police figured out that something was amiss when during their examination of the car, they touched the seat and felt human flesh. Bet that copper got the surprise of his life!
The two Moroccans were arrested and are currently in custody, whilst the illegal immigrant was sent to a detention center.
A police spokesman said the peculiar attempt to beguile border control was “novel.” He said: “We’ve seen some fairly bizarre attempts to get across the border but nothing like this before.”
One has to wonder though, how many other illegals have tried the car seat disguise method before and if any actually made it past the authorities.
