Iconic Fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg caught a different kind of attention at her Spring/Summer 2013 show during New York Fashion Week. DVF caught the eyes of geeks around the world after she appeared at the show wearing Google’s super-hyped “augmented reality” glasses.

DVF collaborated with Google for this exhibition and Google co-founder Sergey Brin was sat in the front row of the audience. Many of DVF’s svelte models strutted their stuff on the catwalk, also sporting the Google Glass.

It is said that the reason behind the models and DVF wearing the Google Glasses is so that they could record footage of the show from a different perspective and that this footage would be used to create a documentary about DVF. A joint statement from both companies said: “For the past week, we’ve been using Glass to capture the DVF creative process from entirely new perspectives.”

At the show finale, DVF and creative director Yvan Mispelaere took to the catwalk to lap up the applause, they also pulled Brin up onto the stage and the trio – all wearing the Google Glass smiled and waved to the audience.
