Remember when you were a kid and you could get those packets of tattoo transfers from your local convenience store or toyshop – you know the ones that you would wet and stick to your skin and the design would last a couple of days, making you feel all super-tough and real grownup?
Well now Dior has introduced these transfers aimed at adults, but coming from a luxury brand like Dior, they are considerably more expensive than the ones that you used to buy when you were a nipper.
They are made of 24k gold, for the ‘Grand Bal’ collection and were created by designer Camille Miceli. Each set costs $120 and includes chain bracelets, rings and charms (including one that looks a lot like a voodoo doll keyring).
Yup, you guessed it, they are aimed at that section of society that is sometimes referred to as the 1% because they have limitless funds to spend on extravagant items, although many of you will know them as the ‘more money than sense’ crowd.
I wonder what they look like once they start getting to the ‘rubbing off’ stage, like someone has been scribbling on you with a gold Sharpie marker pen I would imagine.
Personally I prefer my jewelry a little more longer-lasting and my tattoos more inky and permanent, but I guess there are people out there who would go for this.
What do you think? Would you spend $120 on a temporary gold tattoo transfer?
