Seattle Rapper Freddy E Tweets His Final Moments In Social Media Suicide

Twitter has been host to some disturbing happenings over the last few days, there was the high profile troll by 4chan users who encouraged Justin Bieber fans to cut themselves in order to convince the pop idol to stop smoking weed and just this weekend, followers of Seattle rapper Freddy E, reported that he tweeted his final moments on earth before taking his own life.

The 23-year-old tweeted a series of disconcerting messages that detail his troubled emotional state and his eventual suicide.

The tweets speak of a “cold, unforgiving world” and his loneliness. One message reads “If there’s a God then He’s calling me back home. This barrel never felt so good next to my dome. It’s cold & I’d rather die than live alone.” Another that implies that he is about to take his own life with a firearm, says; “It’s… all… bad… y’all. *puts finger around trigger*”

The tweets that follow express love to family members and a “Katherine”, a general apology and one asking for forgiveness from “God”.

Initially it was believed by some fans that the whole thing was just a social media stunt engineered to get more followers, however his family and numerous media outlets have confirmed that the rapper did in fact commit suicide over the weekend.

The family of Freddy E released this statement:

“Today, our son, Frederick Eugene Buhl (@freddy_e), age 22 years old, took his own life with a rifle shot to the head.”

“Our family is saddened beyond words; our loss is great; this tragedy is enormous and unforeseen. Not only our family, but the world has lost a talented, sensitive, brilliant young man who lit up our existence with his. We love him a great deal, and he will be sorely missed. We pray that God will now watch over him, and we ask all of you to include Frederick and our entire family in your thoughts and prayers.”

This is not the first time a suicide attempt has played out over Twitter. In November a young woman living in Britain live-tweeted her own failed suicide attempt and just a few weeks ago, another rapper Capital Steez tweeted a farewell message before apparently taking his own life.
