Disgruntled Fired HMV Workers Use Official HMV Twitter Account To Express Their Frustrations!!

It appears that disgruntled HMV workers who were upset about being fired have taken to HMV’s Official Twitter account @hmvtweets to let people know how they really feel about being let go by the company!!
This week, administrators of the ailing music store confirmed 190 redundancies had been made from the company head office and distribution network.

In a statement, Nick Edwards, Joint Administrator said that the redundancies were “a necessary step in restructuring the business to enhance the prospects of securing its future as a going concern.”

The disgruntled Tweets appear to have come from the HR department and seem to suggest that 60 people were fired at once. The tweets were quickly removed from the official HMV Twitter page, however that was not before some Twitter uses managed to screenshot them!! They explain that the employees would never normally do such a thing as tweet negative messages about the company they love, however they felt as if they had no choice!

@weeclaire was amongst those who screengrabbed the messages before they were taken down, tweeting; “The #HMV HR Twitter rebellion continues… read before the tweets get deleted!”
The hashtag that the ex-employees used to vent their frustrations was #hmvXFactorFiring and they called the redundancies a mass execution!

Twitter user @adamjld also managed to screen grab a few more rouge tweets before they too were taken down.

When will companies learn that if they are going to carry out huge redundancies like the one that took place at HMV, they really ought to change the passwords to social media accounts before they do it! The incident is also proof once again, that once something has gone on the internet it cannot be erased!
