Girls Aloud lovely Cheryl Cole is rumored to be getting a 100% pay rise to return as an X Factor judge in next year’s series. There may be a snag to this plan as Girls Aloud are set to be touring the USA next year and that might coincide with the busy X Factor schedule.

A studio insider said: “Cheryl has been an instant hit with viewers and contestants. She initially signed a one-year deal as she wasn’t sure how she would fare and Simon didn’t want to commit to an unknown quantity. Now he’s desperate to get her for a new series and put pen to paper.

“He realizes he will have to fight to keep her as Girls Aloud are in talks to do a US tour.

We want Cheryl back for another series; how about they get rid of Dannii, bring back Sharon and that’s a perfect judging panel.
