British model Lily Cole is featured in October 2008 issue of French Playboy Magazine.

The photo shoot was inspired by the cover of French musician Serge Gainsbourg’s 1971 album Histoire de Melody Nelson.

20 year old Lily who is the face of Marks and Spencer’s Limited Collection is photographed in a variety of nude poses for a sexy 14-page spread.

French Playboy’s fashion director Alex Aikiu says:

“It’s all about being sweet and innocent. We just paid her the editorial fee any magazine would. Lily said yes right away.”

She can’t be desperate for money?

Aikiu added: “It’s very intimate, very psychological. For us, Playboy isn’t Pamela Anderson. It doesn’t matter how big your boobs are - it’s about what’s inside the woman.”

Despite Christian a group calling on customers to boycott Marks and Spencer. M&S have confirmed they will continue to hire Lily.

“Lily Cole is a popular, high profile, model who is very much in demand, and this is one of the key reasons why we have chosen to work with her. It’s entirely her own choice as to what other work she accepts and we would not wish to interfere with her career.”
