Check out these stunning anamorphic installations created by French artist Bernard Pras using junk and other random objects. Pras uses a range of objects, including old toys, commonplace household objects and whatever other weird shit he can get his hands on.
His works are incredibly detailed and you could look at them for hours and still find new and intriguing elements to them.
Pras’ work is similar to the junkyard masterpieces of Vik Muniz. Like Muniz, Pras is inspired by classic works and the artists who created the original work. He also offers creations that are inspired by icons of popular culture.
Pras meticulously places his collection of objects together in a sculptural portrait, which have layer upon layer of detail, that offer an incredible treat for the eye.
My personal favorites include his tributes to surrealism artist Salvador Dali and his recreation of Edvard Munch’s The Scream.
