There are a few undisputed experts in this world:

Oprah Winfrey knows charity.  Martha Stewart knows home economics.  Bill Gates knows money.  Emeril Lagasse knows food.

And Courtney Love knows drug abuse. So when Courtney says someone is bad news, there is at least a good suspicion that yep, that person is bad news.

Love, apparently a long-time pal (that is never a good sign) of Owen Wilson’s, has spoken out today against his new running mate, British actor Steve Coogan.  Love dated Coogan and is blaming him for Wilson’s reported introduction to heavy drug abuse, including meth and oxycontin.  She is quoted as saying,

Under normal circumstances I wouldn’t comment but I care too much about Owen.  I went through it with Steve.  I tried to warn him.  I tried to warn his friends.

So Owen, listen up, if Courtney Love says you have a problem, you should probably listen. Even if it does mean having a Rambling Junkie to English dictionary on hand to make out half of what she’s saying.

Coogan is naturally denying the claims and insinuating a lawsuit against Love, who has more courtroom experience under her belt than Perry Mason.
